PathSnap — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Summary: PathSnap works entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data — including the images you capture, the patient identifiers you type, or your annotations.

1. What PathSnap is

PathSnap is a camera tool for qualified healthcare professionals to capture, annotate, export, and share microscopy and pathology images. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or medical advice.

2. Data we collect

None. PathSnap has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no network features. The app makes no internet connections for data collection.

3. Data stored on your device

The following information is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage:

4. Sharing of data

We never receive your data. When you choose to export or share, content leaves your device only because you select a destination (e.g. email, WhatsApp, AirDrop) using your device's standard share sheet. We have no visibility of or access to that transfer.

5. Camera permission

The app requests camera access solely to capture images and video inside the app. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere without your action.

6. Data deletion

You can delete sessions, subfolders, and individual media from within the app at any time. Deleting a session removes its images, videos, and annotations from your device. Uninstalling the app removes all app data.

7. Children

PathSnap is intended for qualified healthcare professionals and is not directed at children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy — for example, if a future version adds any network feature — we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date before the new version ships on Google Play. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
